Description

The Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center seats just over 1,000 people and hosts a wide variety of entertainment. The venue is overseen by the nonprofit production company, Significant Productions, which works to prioritize artists' well-being and aims to provoke thoughtfulness and joy through the performing arts. Named for the matriarch of the Morse family, Sharon herself was an accomplished performer. The center is dedicated to her memory and inspired by her passion.

Founded in 1950, Ocala Civic Theatre is one of the largest community theatres in the state, entertaining and educating thousands of people every season. By offering quality theatrical experiences and performing arts education through The Academy, OCT helps cultivate future artists and audiences, fostering a lifelong connection to the arts. We work to ensure that the arts remain a place where community can connect, participate, and be inspired.
